Sales and Business Development Executive

Globally we throw away about 1.6 billion tons or 1/3 of all the food we produce. At Good For Food, we believe that we’re called to be guardians and good stewards of what has been given to us – Mother Earth. That is why we are passionate about helping kitchens leverage on technology to reduce their food waste, cost and environmental footprint. We need to save today to save tomorrow.

We’re looking for a high energy, driven quota-carrying sales individual to bring our solution into more kitchens around the globe.


  • Identify and engage clients and prospects, understand their pain points and be able to explain our solution’s value propositions

  • Build and nurture a pipeline of projects

  • Sign up new clients and deliver on the sales plan and objectives

  • Work together with the client success team to onboard and train new clients

  • Build and deepen relationships with new and existing accounts

  • Build and deepen relationship with stakeholders and partners such as the government/NGOs/charities

  • Attend and exhibit at conferences for lead generation and to spread the company’s brand

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have a passion for the environment, the food waste problem and a strong interest in technology
  • Must have a strong understanding of all parts of the sales process, from building a sales pipeline, deal qualification, pipeline progression to contract closure
  • Must have excellent telephone sales skills and the ability to be highly efficient in a phone- based sales environment
  • Must be comfortable meeting and interacting with clients’ executives in a face-to-face settings
  • Must have strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize day to day tasks, often juggling competing requirements
  • Ability to explain technical solutions to customers
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow-up on own initiative
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word) and data base applications
  • Must be humble and teachable
  • Proficient in English with Chinese as a plus
  • At least 1-2 years of sales experience
  • Proven sales record with a consistent achievement of assigned objectives and quotas
